Rotman Executive MBA Students Named Among the World’s Best

June 5, 2017

Toronto, ON – Two graduating students from the Executive MBA programs at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management have been named to the Poets&Quants list of the best and brightest Executive MBA students of 2017.

Rodney Cheung, MBA’17, a graduate of the One-Year Executive MBA Program, and Rachel Huckle, MBA’17, a graduate of the Global Executive MBA program, were the only students from a Canadian program on the list which was published today.

“Rodney is a rewarding example of a student who was able to get the most value out of the Executive MBA program by leveraging his strengths and business experience while developing the areas for improvement, especially those revealed to him over the course of the program,” says Prof. Doug Hyatt, Academic Director, Morning, Evening and Executive MBA programs.

Not only did Cheung, who is currently Chief Information Officer at MediSolutions, benefit from the program, he was presented with The Jane Tyerman Award, a peer nominated award for the student who “has contributed the most to the learning experiences of their classmates.”

“Rachel’s ability to translate ideas, frames, models and approaches into organizational initiatives makes her an exemplar of what effective executive management education strives to produce: leaders who possess both self-awareness and a commitment to bettering the organizational experience of others,” says Nouman Ashraf, Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream.

Huckle is currently Senior Vice President, Health and Wellness at Shoppers Drug Mart. She is also a graduate of The Judy Project, from the Rotman Initiative Women in Business, one of Canada’s leading executive forums, uniquely designed to support and prepare women who are ascending into executive leadership and C‑suite positions.

Profiles of Cheung and Huckle are available online.
